Renovations at the State and University Library

Under contruction

Noise inconvenience: During the autumn, you will unfortunately experience that the State and University Library does not entirely live up to its reputation as a quiet and relaxing place in which to study. Due to a couple of major renovation projects, the library will be disturbed by ongoing noise during the period Monday 10 October to approximately Thursday 15 December.

New windows and improved study environment

Nevertheless, the positive results will hopefully be tangible for you and the rest of the public, as well as the library staff. We look forward to presenting you with modern windows and an even better study environment.
By way of consolation, we have made sure to buy an extra large supply of ear plugs, which are available at the information desk.

  • NB: The large reading room will not be affected until summer 2012
  • Proviso: This information is subject to any changes to the plan
  • Ask: Please contact the staff if you have any questions
